Escaping Reality:
completed 94,500 word novel. Humorous thriller based in Northern Britain and Amsterdam.
The squashed nose on a wet pavement, followed by a brutal internment led our hero to a gut-wrenching escape. A dangerous winter trek across the Northumberland Moors, even with a shocking amorous interlude to raise the temperature, led our criminal to survive, however he can, in the backstreets of Cumbrian towns. But he couldn't just hide, he had to find out who was after him. What he discovered was more than was good for him.
Keeping half a knife-blade in front of a devious assassin, his frequently changed identity crosses to Amsterdam where he gets his friends into trouble. Can he find out what is really going on? Can you find out before him? The clues are all here. Was Wendy, the passionate librarian, after him, or after her own 'escape'? Is there really an ESCAPE from REALITY?

DIMENSIONS is published by Adventure Books of Seattle.
It's a stunning anthology of science fiction stories by Robert Blevins and myself.
One story is Prime Meridian about micrometeorites that visit a house in London, and a sound version is here
Hot Air
Thriller based on hot-air balloon passengers witnessing brutality in a suburban garden. They are shot down (think about it!) but are eventually captured in Spain, taken to Mallorca and... it gets weirder.
More including a possible front cover.
Hot Air won the Silver Award for best unpublished novel in the Netherlands in 2007. It is being published by the arts foundation Wuacademia in 2008.
Hidden Agenda is a short story inspired by the hours we spend waiting for our partners in large department stores. Why do we always end up surrounded by the soft porn of the lingerie department? It is partly based on true accounts. As a mystery it would be suitable for a collection or a magazine mini-series.
Novels in progress include:
Left Luggage. A trilogy (each 100k words) based on an alien case found in the struts of the International Space Station.
When opened on Earth it has a subtle effect that I believe is original in its premise, so I cannot reveal it here. The first two volumes are ready to go.
The story is endorsed by Brad Linaweaver and I'm planning a filmscript version. It is being considered by agents and publishers. Please contact me if you want to be involved in this project that will be bigger than LOST, and better than well, almost anything!
Left Luggage is being represented by the literary agency Rebecca Pratt Group. Please contact them if you are interested in publishing it.
Exit, Pursued by a Bee is a short novel (70k words) based on a mix of physical action such as alien spheres emerging from spiritually significant landmarks such as Glastonbury Hill, and quantum mechanics, in particular time dependent decoherences.
Exit is being published by DDP - Double Dragon Publishing Inc in 2008
Xaghra's Revenge is a magic realism fantasy based on the spirits of adbucted islanders seeking revenge on the descendents of their abducters. See bottom of this page.
Slow Crash is a short sci-fi story
about an unusual event: the
slow speed collision of two asteroids. The astrophysics is authentically tested.
This story is part of the collection published in Dimensions and available here.
Sentinel is a sci-fi first contact story with a different ending to most.
If you dare, glance at the world as seen from a malevolent spirit trapped inside an ancient cutlery piece then read Table Manners at Horror Masters.

Xaghra's Revenge a fantasy based on
GOZO - one of the Mediterranean Maltese islands has a fascinating history. I have plans to write a fantasy historical novel based on the bizarre events in Gozo in 1551. This page contains present day images of Gozo. Inspiring. Current outline of the novel in progress.
